George Russell delivered a commanding performance at Zandvoort to take victory in the 2026 Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix Sprint. The Mercedes driver managed his tires and strategy perfectly on the challenging circuit, crossing the line with a comfortable margin over the chasing pack. It's another strong result for Russell as Mercedes continues to show serious pace heading into the main Grand Prix.

Charles Leclerc brought Ferrari home in second place, just 1.3 seconds adrift of Russell after a solid drive through the field. The Monegasque driver showed the Scuderia's improvements are paying dividends, though he'll be keen to convert this into a race win on Sunday. Lando Norris completed the podium in third for McLaren, but the British driver will feel he left something on the table at a circuit that should suit his machinery.

The fight behind the top three was intense, with Kimi Antonelli picking up valuable points in fourth for Mercedes ahead of Oscar Piastri's McLaren. Max Verstappen had a tough day at his home track, finishing sixth just ahead of Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion couldn't quite find the pace he needed on Saturday, a concerning sign for Ferrari as the weekend progresses.
