The wheels started coming off at Zandvoort when Hamilton got held up by Charles Leclerc running a different strategy. Ferrari supposedly told Leclerc to pit and get out of the way, but he wasn't having it at first, only moving over a lap later. That cost Hamilton crucial time and a podium finish. Then at Monza, the two Ferrari drivers went at it hard in the first couple of corners, with Hamilton forced off track and losing positions. Leclerc admitted they'd gone too far, but Hamilton called him out for the 'we' comment. Most recently in Madrid, Hamilton suffered a DNF that effectively killed his championship hopes.

Now the knives are out for Vasseur. Former F1 driver Marc Surer called his leadership at Zandvoort 'weak', but the Italian media have gone absolutely nuclear. Journalist Giorgio Teruzzi appeared on YouTube blasting Ferrari's management structure, claiming there's basically no relationship between Vasseur and Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna anymore. He really went there too, accusing Vasseur of having an 'allergy to Maranello' because he's rarely seen at Ferrari's headquarters.

Teruzzi's description of the 58-year-old was savage. He branded Vasseur as 'Napoleon' for his attitude and demeanor, suggesting he acts like an absolute boss who comes across as annoying and arrogant. These are serious accusations about his leadership style and presence at Maranello, and they're painting a picture of someone who's either checked out or fundamentally clashing with Ferrari's culture. For a team with Ferrari's history and expectations, that's a massive problem.
