Wache was candid when speaking about the challenge ahead, especially after another frustrating weekend at the Hungaroring where both Max Verstappen and teammate Isack Hadjar were openly critical of the car's handling. The gap to Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren remains noticeable, but Wache stressed that Red Bull has a clear development strategy in place. "It's hard to pinpoint a single solution," he explained. "Our goal this year is to battle for victories. We have a clear development plan until the end of the season, and we're doing everything in our power to enhance the car, master the regulations, and understand how new developments can boost both its performance and speed."

There's still genuine hope for Red Bull before the season concludes. Verstappen's picked up a pair of second-place finishes, with the Austrian Grand Prix result being particularly close. He nearly caught and passed George Russell for the win that day, showing the car's got potential. Add in podiums from Belgium and Canada for Verstappen, plus Hadjar's third-place finish in Monaco after a penalty appeal, and you can see this team isn't completely out of it.

Wache also acknowledged that sometimes you need a bit of luck on your side, and he admitted the regulations limit how far they can push efficiency gains. But he made it clear that Red Bull won't stop fighting regardless of who's in the car. "When it comes to efficiency, the regulations impose some limitations on what we can achieve. But regardless of whether it's Max or Isack behind the wheel, we're determined to do everything possible to make the car a consistent race-winner."
