Ferrari's had quite the week of headlines coming out of Baku, and the Scuderia decided to step up and address the elephant in the room head on. For weeks there's been chatter about team principal Fred Vasseur potentially stepping back from his role, with suggestions of a carefully managed exit to either a different position within the team or out the door entirely. But Ferrari wasn't having any of it. The Italian team publicly declared they've got full confidence in Vasseur's continued leadership, throwing their support behind the 58-year-old Frenchman in no uncertain terms.

Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc might've said a bit too much during the Azerbaijan weekend. The Ferrari driver accidentally let slip that his ADUO2 upgraded engine was back in the running after it got checked following his massive crash at Monza. Leclerc confirmed he had the ADUO2 unit in his SF-26 for the Baku race, but apparently that was supposed to stay under wraps. The look he got from his Ferrari teammate and the awkward head shakes as he was talking to media made it crystal clear he'd accidentally disclosed something the team wanted to keep quiet.

Over at Aston Martin, Fernando Alonso decided to have a laugh with the fans. The 45-year-old dropped a cheeky video that initially made it look like he was about to announce his retirement from Formula 1. Plot twist though, Alonso pulled the handbrake and confirmed he's still got plenty of fuel in the tank and will stay with Aston Martin for the 2027 season with an unchanged driver lineup alongside Lance Stroll.

Red Bull's also dealing with some engine headaches. Max Verstappen's qualifying session in Baku was hampered by an internal combustion engine problem, which understandably had people wondering if a grid penalty was coming his way. Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies isn't ruling it out, but he's being cagey about whether Verstappen will actually face a penalty, with an investigation currently underway. Adding to Verstappen's concerns, George Russell mentioned during the post-race press conference that Mercedes has upgrades coming and expects a solid step forward in Malaysia, which definitely got Max's attention.
