Charles Leclerc is having the kind of Friday you dream about. The Ferrari driver topped both practice sessions at the Mexico City Grand Prix, continuing his hot streak from last weekend's United States Grand Prix. Leclerc clocked a 1m17.827 in FP2 and hasn't put a wheel wrong all day, establishing himself as the one to beat heading into Saturday.

Lando Norris kept things close in second place, trailing Leclerc by just over a tenth of a second in the afternoon session. The Mercedes pairing of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli filled the next two spots, with Russell edging his teammate. Max Verstappen rounded out the top five, but his afternoon was marred by an incident with Liam Lawson that the stewards will be taking a closer look at after the session concluded.
