Martin Brundle even reckons the 21-year-old needs to start looking at Plan B.

Here's the problem: Charles Leclerc just signed a massive long-term contract with Ferrari, and Hamilton's made it crystal clear he's not going anywhere. Brundle told Sky F1 that Bearman was always seen as the heir apparent, the next big thing coming through Ferrari's academy ladder. But now he's left wondering where the young driver actually goes from here.

The rumor mill's been working overtime with Bearman's name attached to some pretty tasty opportunities. Red Bull's apparently keeping close tabs on him, which makes sense given the team's ongoing uncertainty over Max Verstappen's future. There's also chatter about Aston Martin, especially since Fernando Alonso hasn't decided if he wants to keep racing at 45. Bearman's been diplomatic about both, saying Red Bull links are flattering but he's focused on Haas, and that Aston Martin has potential but he's not looking that direction right now.

Despite all the noise, Bearman's staying loyal to his Ferrari roots. He's repeatedly emphasized that the Italian team gave him everything, backed him from F3 onwards, and that Ferrari remains his dream destination. He knows the reality of the situation though. Instead of pouting, he's keeping his head down with Haas and waiting to see how things develop. Whether that loyalty pays off eventually or whether he needs to pursue one of those other options remains to be seen, but one thing's for certain: the Bearman-to-Ferrari storyline just got way more complicated.

Brundle reckons Haas won't keep their current line-up together for next season, which suggests the driver market's about to get interesting. Otherwise, his academy dream might end up as just another promising prospect who didn't quite make it to the top tier he was destined for.
