The Sepang circuit's got serious pedigree too. It's hosted some absolute legends, and several drivers currently on the grid have already tasted victory there. Max Verstappen took the win in 2017, while Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have both scored wins at this iconic track over the years. Weather's always been a wild card at Sepang though, with rain and thunderstorms sometimes completely changing how races play out. This October could be no different, with forecasts suggesting some pretty gnarly tropical weather could make an appearance.

So what's the actual schedule looking like? Friday gets underway with Free Practice 1 at 6:15 AM and FP2 at 9:50 AM. Saturday brings FP3 at 6:15 AM followed by qualifying at 9:40 AM. Then comes the main event on Sunday, October 4, with the race starting at 9 AM. It's a 56-lap marathon covering 310.398 kilometers around the 5.543 km circuit. The lap record to beat is Sebastian Vettel's 1:34.080 from 2017, though Lewis Hamilton holds the absolute quickest lap ever done there at 1:30.076.

Looking at the championship standings heading into this relocated race, Andrea Kimi Antonelli is absolutely flying for Mercedes with 302 points, well clear of George Russell on 236.
