Only 200 metres separate pole from Turn 1's braking point at this new 5.414-kilometre circuit, and overtaking is expected to be tricky throughout the layout. That means Antonelli will get an immediate crack at Norris when the lights drop, though both drivers know they're in for a tough afternoon on a layout that nobody's raced on before. Behind them, Max Verstappen lines up third for Red Bull, 0.140 seconds back, while Lewis Hamilton makes it a four-way battle for the podium in fourth, just 0.049 seconds adrift of Verstappen.

The grid tells a story of genuine competition right through the field. Charles Leclerc and George Russell occupy the third row for Ferrari and Mercedes respectively, while Oscar Piastri's McLaren and Liam Lawson's Red Bull fill row four.
