Austin's Evening Schedule is a Right Nightmare, Here's What You Need to Know

Right, Formula 1 is heading back to the States this weekend for the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. It's round 19 of the 2026 season, and we're down to the final six races. After the intensity of Singapore, the paddock shifts gears for a completely different beast in Austin, Texas. The 5.513-kilometre track throws everything at the drivers, high-speed corners mixed with massive straights and brutal braking zones that'll sort the men from the boys.

Here's the thing though, the schedule is absolutely mental if you're watching from Europe. Friday and Saturday both kick off at 17:30 GMT for first practice, followed by second practice at 21:00 GMT the same day. Saturday's got FP3 at 17:30 GMT before qualifying at 21:00 GMT. That means if you're in the UK or Central Europe, you're looking at seriously late nights to catch the action live. And Sunday's race starts at 20:00 GMT, which is when things get properly weird with the daylight saving time switchover happening overnight.

The actual race distance is 56 laps, so it's a proper slog around Austin. Drivers will have three hours of practice time across Friday and Saturday to dial in their setups before throwing down for pole position. The evening timing means European fans will catch it, but you might want to set some alarms or block out your evening schedule completely. It's not ideal, but that's the way the cookie crumbles when you're racing on the other side of the Atlantic.

The video's got the SF-26 lurking in the shadows, but the Scuderia aren't saying what it means. Could be a livery change, could be nothing special, but when Ferrari goes mysterious, you know fans are going to lose their minds speculating. We'll find out soon enough what the Italian outfit's planning for Austin.
