Cash on Delivery is Halted

Hey there,

I wanted to share an update with you. I've had to halt offering Cash on Delivery (COD) as a payment option on my store. In my first week (launched on July 24, 2024), I received about 20 COD orders. Unfortunately, 14 of those weren't accepted by people, some asked to cancel, and most didn’t even pick up my calls. This ended up costing me around ₹12,000, which is a significant hit since I started this store with just ₹50,000, all I had after losing my job. I can't afford to lose more money like this; it's crucial for my survival right now.

I initially offered COD to build trust and encourage first-time orders. While some people graciously accepted their orders and even made a repeat purchase; like Amit, my first customer, others didn’t reciprocate the same empathy.

If you're someone who is making an impulsive purchase and isn’t 101% sure you want or can afford what I’m selling, I kindly ask you to consider ordering from another store. There are plenty of options out there, and many can absorb these kinds of losses, I simply can’t. This store is my lifeline at the moment.

In this digital age, with UPI available to almost everyone, I believe that if you genuinely want to support me, you can pay online. It would save a lot of hassle and help me immensely. But this isn’t the end, I’m working on a solution where you can pay for shipping upfront and the rest at delivery. So this halt is temporary, and I plan to relaunch COD soon with better tools in place.

I truly appreciate your support during these tough times and hope you’ll continue to stand by me as I strive to make a positive impact.

Thanks a ton!
